CREATE STUDY
a. After sign-up, you will be taken to your study dashboard. All current and past studies will be shown here.
b. Select “Create New Study”. Give your diary study a name and select how many days it will run.

CREATE ENTRIES
a. Next, define the questions participants will be asked to complete in the entry. There are 5 question types to choose from including photo and video.
b. Note: If you choose 3 different questions for an entry, those 3 questions are what the participant will complete every day.

Add Post-Study Questions
a. Have participants reflect on their overall experience and ask last minute questions. Responses will be included in reporting.

Enter Participants
a. Enter the name and email of all participants you want to send the diary study to. They will receive an email with a unique link to access their journal. They will select that link each day to complete their entries.

REVIEW
a. Review the entries, number of days and participants before launching. You can also preview your study to make it’s set up exactly how you want it.

Customize

a. Write the email invitation participants will receive to start their diary study or use the prewritten message.

Launch
a. You can choose to launch the study and immediately send it to participants, or save and launch it later.
b. Launching later will save the study to your study dashboard and you can send it out when you’re ready.

View Results
a. To view responses, log into your youXjournal account, select the study, and then choose “Report” to view all participant entries and an emotional journey chart.
